Economic development update Item 2
City staff, from economic development, gave a quarterly update. Hotel revenue fell in the first quarter compared with early 2025, when the fires filled local hotels, but by August it was only 1% behind last year. New openings include a bank branch, a matcha shop in Old Pasadena, and an e-bike shop; a survey of more than 400 businesses for a commercial district study will come to the committee; and Pasadena will host events during LA Tech Week, October 12 to 18.
